How we build a crate

We don't bring everything to every market. Each crate is built for the people who'll be digging through it, and only what earns its place makes the trip.

  1. 01

    One collection, one warehouse

Everything we preserve lives in a single collection at our warehouse. That's the library every crate is pulled from.

  2. 02

    Every record has an address

Records are filed by genre, then by artist, and every one gets its own place code. Nothing gets lost, and anything can be found.

  3. 03

    Read the room

Every market has its own crowd. Dumbo draws a young crowd: first-time collectors, New Yorkers and visitors from everywhere. Each market gets its own set of crates.

    Built from your requests

What people ask for shapes what we bring. Every record on our Want List goes into how we fill the bins for the market you go to.

  5. 05

    Only what earns its place

If a record isn't right for that crowd, it stays home and waits for the market where it fits. Every crate is a choice, not a dump.
